What Is Unlocking?
You may be asking, well, If you want to change network suppliers i.e. from Orange to Vodafone, you would have to pay Orange in the region of £35 to do so or they may charge you the complete cost of the handset. Basically because they don't want you to join another service provider for the obvious reason they would lose your money! But we're not just picking on Orange here, there are hundreds of network operators around the globe that lock their phones onto their networks. So, what do we do? We simply unlock the phones sim locks or service provider locks from the phone so that you can use any network you please.
What Is De-Branding?
De-branding basically means removing the awful operator firmware ( Software ), and replacing it with the manufacturers original firmware. Hence converting your phone to the full spec as it was intended by the manufacturer.
Is It Illegal?
No! Unlocking or De-branding is completely legal, however stealing phones is! So we refuse to unlock any phone that you can not prove you bought.
IMEI Changing, do we do it?
No! IMEI changing is illegal, so don't even bother to ask us! ( also none as unbarring ). This is basically changing the phones identity. Each phone is supplied from the manufacture with a serial number which is unique to that phone.
How Do I Get My Phone Unlocked Or De-Branded?
Easy! Just send the phone in a well packed recorded or registered mail padded bag (preferably registered mail) and enclose a copy of your receipt and a note with your Name, Address and contact phone number that we can contact you on along with payment method. Please also provide us with any access PIN codes to access your phone and the battery. We will get your phone back to you as soon as the work is done.
How Long Does It Take?
We can send most phones back to you on the same day as receiving them, but please phone before sending to confirm this, some phones may take an extra day or two depending on the type of phone model.
How Much Does It Cost?
Please see our Unlocking Service for model specific prices and we also offer a De-Brand & Unlock Service at a reduced cost, if your model is not listed then please Call Us or Email Us for a quote. Please note that all prices quoted are plus our standard Delivery Charges. We accept payment by Postal Order, Cash or Credit/Debit Card, Cheques or Paypal. If your preferred payment is a Postal Order then please make them payable to "Modifications". Payments via cheque must be made payable to “Modifications” and will take an additional 5 working days to clear.
We accept most major Credit/Debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Solo, Switch, Maestro and Delta. All Payments via Credit/Debit card are processed by Worldpay
Do We Only Unlock & De-Brand U.K. Phones?
No, we can unlock any phone no matter where you are from, the only difference is that you will have to pay an extra
£7.00 postage ( £10.00 in total ) and it will take a few days longer to get back to you. Please note that we will only use Royal Mails International Signed For Service unless the weight exceeds the standard limit then FEDEX or DHL will be used, additional cost will be incurred.
